Southbury School of Performing Arts 2024-2025 Season Dates
September
Classes begin Tuesday September 3rd. The school is a buzz with registration. SSOPA instructors work on getting classes set and
finding the right fit for each student.
October
We are finalizing all classes for the 2024-25 Season.
Classes will be held on Thursday October 3rd and Monday October 14th.
Halloween Dance Week October 21-25. Students can come to class in their Halloween Costumes.
We will go trick or treating in class and even dance the Monster Mash. No Classes on Halloween Thursday October 31st.
November
All Students are measured for their performance costumes. A $89 fee for each combo class or individual class will be applied to your account. Costume Charges will go through your Autopay on November 1st
Friends Week at SSOPA November 4th- November 7th – SSOPA Students can bring a Friend to Dance!
School Closed Wednesday November 27th and Thursday November 28th for Thanksgiving.
**Please Note – If winter weather conditions arise and we need to cancel classes we will email all families through your SSOPA account.

SSOPA Elite Holiday Party is Friday December 20th 6-8pm
Holiday Break No Classes – December 23 – January 1st. Classes start again Thursday January 2nd

Costumes start arriving. Please hang them in a safe place and contact the office with any sizing issues ASAP.
Classes will be held on Monday January 20th.

SSOPA Elite Team Competition Rehearsal is Friday February 28th 5-8pm
We will be holding classes on Monday February 17th and Tuesday February 18th

All SSOPA Students – a $39 Performance Fee will be applied March 1st to all accounts.

March 28-30 SSOPA Elite Competition Star Quest in Bridgeport, CT for 9-13yr and 14-18yr Elite Students Only

April 4-6 SSOPA Elite Competition Spirit of Dance Awards in Naugatuck, CT
Spring has arrived! Choreography is being finalized for the Spring Performance.

Performance Season is upon us. Tickets go on sale May 1st at 10am
Our Performance Date is subject to change but is currently planned for Sunday May 18th
